Peter's full interview

Peter, welcome to Stunning Men and a big thank you for taking the time to do the interview.
No worries – thanks for asking Didier!

Could we start off with talking a little about yourself and your background?
Sure.  I’m from Perth, Western Australia – born and raised.  I work as an analyst for government and my degree is in Mathematics!  And in case it isn’t obvious, I’m a huge fitness fanatic! (Peter gives us a cheeky smile)

How did you get into modelling?
It had been suggested to me quite a few times, but I had never really decided to pursue it – until recently.  I’m still fairly new to the modelling scene – watch this space! (Peter smiles)

What do you enjoy the most about it?
To me, the best part of the job is the motivation it gives me to continue my healthy and active lifestyle and to stay in shape all year round.  Getting paid to do something you love is always a huge plus.

How do you prepare before a photoshoot?
I try to always stay in good shape, but depending on the shoot, I might try to push it that little bit further.  That might mean shedding an extra kilo of fat, or topping up the tan.  I don’t dehydrate or resort to any drugs or anything like that – my health is more important to me.  Plus, I want to portray a realistic ideal that people can aspire to.

You have a great physique. How do you keep in shape and healthy? Do you practise any sport?
Thanks Didier!  I train 5 days a week at the gym and follow a simple, but effective diet.  Essentially, I just avoid processed foods and try to eat lots of wholesome, nutritious foods each day (lots of veggies, oats, nuts etc).  I have played a lot of sport in the past, but focus on my gym training now.

What are your top three favourite gym exercises and why?
Handstand push ups are my favourite, although I haven’t quite perfected them yet.  I love them as they require a lot of strength and very good balance – an impressive feat to manage both.  I can’t say I really have any favourites after that, although I do love exercises that give you an amazing pump.

What’s the best form of cardio for you?
In terms of fat loss – it would be high intensity interval training on the bike.  In terms of enjoyment, I love skipping - double skipping in particular.  Sprints on the beach are also good – can’t beat the training environment!

How do you keep motivated?
Modelling certainly helps!  In general though, I find motivation in each day, simply by the way I feel – energised and strong, fit and healthy.  When you live and breathe this lifestyle, you don’t need motivation.  It simply becomes a part of who you are.

How do you fit training and fitness into your life? Is it a difficult thing to achieve?
Yes and no.  It can be hard at times, but when it is a priority, you always make time. I just make it part of my routine.  Usually, training every week night is easiest, but if that’s not feasible, then I’ll train every morning before work.

You are a very good looking guy – what do you think is your best asset?
You are far too kind.  I’ve been told I have a very cheeky grin, and it has been known to get me out of trouble at time. (Huge smile)

And if you could change one thing about your body, what would that be?
Hmm, just one?   I guess I’d say narrower hips, or wider shoulders.  Either would have the same effect of giving me more of a V-taper.

How do you approach a challenge?
Depends on what type of challenge it is.  I would say I usually approach a challenge with enthusiasm.  There is nothing quite like the sense of accomplishment you feel afterwards.

What do you do in your down time?
Meditate, go to the beach and catch up with friends.

Do you have any role models? People who inspire you?
I have great respect for anyone that has the balls to go and take what they want from this life.  Think people like Arnold Schwarzenegger – he knew what he wanted and went out there and took it.  People who are willing to take risks and live without fear inspire me.

Now a few quick fun questions if we may? Do you think you are a good date?
Definitely.

What do you think is the secret to a good relationship?
Communication – absolutely.  That means never saying things like ‘fine’ or ‘whatever’ and resolving your differences as and when they arise.  It also means communicating in the bedroom.

Are you a brief man or a boxer kinda guy?
Neither...

What do you listen to on your iPod?
Don’t have one!  I’m not really a huge music fanatic, but my favourite genre would probably be alternate rock.

Your favourite song or piece of music to play while training or running?
I actually don’t listen to anything while I train – I find I am so focused on my training that I don’t hear the music anyway.  If anything, it distracts me!

What kind of movies do you like?
I like movies that challenge me – movies that are a bit different or unique.  Can’t go past a good Sci Fi flick!

What can’t you live without?
Sleep – I love a good sleep in!

You wouldn’t know, but I’m very good at ...
 ... Euro board games.

I’m just not very good at ...
... Singing.

What’s the best thing ever invented?
It hasn’t been invented yet – a device that enables the user to instantly analyse the contents of any food/drink they are about to consume to give a full breakdown of all the macro and micro nutrients.

What three words describe you best?
Intelligent, confident, charming.

One last question Peter, where do you see yourself and what would you like to be doing in 10 years time?
Tough question!  But I guess I’d see myself settled down by then, in a good house – possibly married with kids, but we’ll see how that goes.  I’d like to be pretty financially secure by that point and doing what I love and just generally making the most of life!

Peter, it has been a real pleasure to interview you! Thank you for your time and for being a good sport. All the best for the future!
No worries, thanks Didier!

Cory's interview in full

Cory, welcome to Stunning Men and a big thank you for taking the time to do the interview. Could we start off by talking a little about yourself? You are from Ohio and still live there ...

Yes. Well, I’m turning 23 and I go to school for fitness and dietary. I refuse to settle, I love to travel and workout and I love to smile.

You have an amazing physique! How do you keep in shape and healthy?

I workout everyday and eat extremely clean, id say around 90% of what I eat is healthy.

I believe you enjoy ‘mud running’ ... is that part of your fitness training?

Nah, it’s just a fun hobby that helps me relieve stress from the real world.

What are your top three favourite gym exercises and why?

Pull ups, low rows and incline bench press, these are 3 of the staples in my regimen and they work amazingly.

And what’s the best form of cardio for you?

I do a slow walk on incline, I stay lean from my daily food intake and I try to maintain as much muscle mass as possible.

Now how do you keep motivated?

I keep motivated from the support of others and people telling me how following my journey has changed their lives

Is it difficult for you to fit training and fitness into your life?

Not at all, I make it a priority and it’s a passion of mine.

We know that you guys keep a healthy lifestyle ... but if you had a cheat day, what would be your favourite food?

PIZZAAAAA! I love pizza and the pump you get after is hard to match.

How did modelling happen?

I shot with a local photog and then it just kinda fell into place.

What do you enjoy the most about it?

I love being able to show off all the hard work I put into the gym.

Let’s talk about photo shoots ... how do you prepare for them?

I like going to different locations and going with the flow, you can have good ideas at anytime.

I think you are a great looking guy? What do you think is your best asset?

I love my smile and I think it’s a very important feature.

And if you could change one thing about your body, what would that be?

My chest, it’s a weak point that I’m focusing on currently.

You joined AllAmericanGuys.com about 18 months ago; how do you enjoy working with Mike Downs?

I love working with him, great photographer and a great guy, never disappoints and he’s a great host.

How do you approach a challenge?

Head on!

What do you do in your down time?

Sleep, I love naps, especially before a hard training session.

Do you have any role models? People who inspire you?

Steve Cook, I’d have to say he is the guy that I want to be like the most, we are the same height and close to the same build, I’ve met him and he’s a killer guy!

Now a few quick fun questions if we may? Do you think you are a good date?

Well I don’t take just anyone on a date, if I take the time to take someone out then they matter to me, so I will always go out of my way to make her smile, so yes.

What do you think is the secret to a good relationship?

Being open with each other, if you’re scared to open up and show how you really feel or who you really are then you have nothing.

Are you a brief man or a boxer kinda guy?

I/m a trunk kinda guy, they’re like briefs but shorter!

What do you listen to on your iPod?

I have a combo of country and rap, different day, different mood.

Your favourite song or piece of music to play while training or running?

LL Cool J - It’s time for war.

What kind of movies do you like?

I love action movies, comedies and chick flicks.

What can’t you live without?

My cell phone, I do everything on it.

Could you finish these two sentences? You wouldn’t know, but I’m very good at carrying on a conversation, I usually keep to myself.

Now ... I’m just not very good at …

... managing money!

What’s the best thing ever invented?

Microwave, I use it so much daily it saves me a ton of time!

What three words describe you best?

Self-made, motivated, dreamer

One last question Cory, where do you see yourself and what would you like to be doing in 10 years time?

I want to own my own gym, offering meal plans and food provided for that.

Cory, it has been a real pleasure to interview you! Thank you for your time and for being such good sport. All the best for the future!
