You are probably tired of Big Brother related questions ... so we’ll keep it to just two ... what were the highlights for you in the Big Brother house? (Matt laughs) Nar ... that’s ok mate. The highlights would have to be the whole experience altogether. I had so much fun every day. What did you miss the most during these several weeks? I missed my beautiful girlfriend and surfing. You have a great physique! How do you keep in shape and healthy? Do you practise any sport? (more laughs) Thanks, I work out every day either in the gym or going for a surf. What are your top three favourite gym exercises and why? Incline bench press: it works the top part of the chest. Triceps pull down with a V bar: it helps shape the triceps and close grip Z bar bicep curls: it gives me max burn for the biceps. And what’s the best form of cardio for you? Surfing is my cardio Now how do you keep motivated? I don’t feel good unless I exercise Is it difficult for you to fit training and fitness into your life? No not at all, I live on the Sunshine Coast where it is a very active and social place. We know that you guys keep a healthy lifestyle ... but if you had a cheat day, what would be your favourite food? (Matt laughs) I would have to say Red Rooster, I love the chicken rolls. Now what about modelling? How did it happen? I have never looked for work myself it’s kind of just came to me. It started with a guy from Sydney who seen me on Facebook and he asked if he could fly me down and do some shoots for his book. Then from there I would just receive work here and there. What do you enjoy the most about it? It’s easy, fun and it will be good to look back when I’m older and see what I’ve done. How do you prepare for shoots? To be completely honest nothing at all, I might do a couple of push ups just before the shoot. May I say that you are a great looking guy? What do you think is your best asset? Um, I’d have to say my V line or chest. And if you could change one thing about your body, what would that be? Bigger legs! (more laughs) How do you approach a challenge? I’m never scared to take on any challenge, you will never know unless you try. What do you do in your down time? Gym, surf, camping, watch footy, beers with the boys … I’m just a normal Aussie bloke! Do you have any role models? People who inspire you? My role model is Kelly Slater. I think he is the best athlete to ever live. He’s 40 years old and surfing better than ever. Now a few quick fun questions if we may? Do you think you are a good date? Ha ha! Yeah I would say so, I’m very romantic, caring and a lot of fun. What do you think is the secret to a good relationship? 100% honesty. Are you a brief man or a boxer kinda guy? I’m a brief man but if I have to, I’m a boxer. What do you listen to on your iPod? (more laughs) I don’t have an iPod. I listen to music on my phone, but I’d have to say the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, you can’t go past a school band. Your favourite song or piece of music to play while training or running? Ha ha! I’m shocking; I don’t listen to music when I train. All my mates do, but for some unknown reason I don’t. What kind of movies do you like? I love comedy movies nothing better then having a good laugh. What can’t you live without? Can I say sex? Ha ha! Of course ... you can say whatever you want! Or surfing. Could you finish these two sentences? You wouldn’t know, but I’m very good at … ... being organised. Everything in my life is pretty organised. Now ... I’m just not very good at … ... singing! I’m the worst in the world haha What’s the best thing ever invented? Transport, I hate walking! (Matt laughs) What three words describe you best? Caring, adventurous, laid back. That’s four words ... but we’ll give you that! One last question Matthew, where do you see yourself and what would you like to be doing in 10 years time? Well I’m starting my own personal training business soon, so hopefully that’s all going sweet and that I have some franchises from that all over Australia. Also married and a few little grommets running around. Travel the world a little bit more. Matthew, it has been a real pleasure to interview you! Thank you for your time and for being such good sport. All the best for the future! That’s ok mate, thank you so much and have a good day. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
